This is a proper North Coast adventure. Starting at Porthcothan Bay, the route follows the South West Coast Path northwards along dramatic cliffs, wide Atlantic views and rolling headlands before finishing at the golden sands of Harlyn Bay.
The scenery is classic Cornwall - rugged coastline, sea spray in the air and long stretches of open sky. It’s a rewarding walk that feels remote in places, yet you’re never far from Padstow.

Park at Porthcothan (or Harlyn), walk the coastal section one way, then catch the local bus back to your starting point. It’s a simple way to turn a linear route into a relaxed day out without retracing your steps.
