This is a full North Coast adventure. Starting at Porthcothan Bay, the route heads south along the South West Coast Path towards Mawgan Porth, passing dramatic headlands, sweeping Atlantic views and some of the most rugged coastline in this part of Cornwall.
Expect rolling cliffs, constant sea views and that unmistakable Atlantic energy. It’s a rewarding walk with proper ups and downs - one for those who enjoy a bigger challenge and longer coastal days.

Park at Porthcothan (or Mawgan Porth), complete the coastal section one way, then use the local bus service to return to your starting point. It’s an easy way to enjoy a linear route without doubling back.
