Constantine Bay to Porthcothan - Classic North Cornwall Coastline
Distance: Approx. 4–5 miles (6.5–8km)

Location: Near Padstow – 10–15 minutes from Slickers Doghouse
This stretch of the South West Coast Path between Constantine Bay and Porthcothan is North Cornwall at its very best - sweeping sandy beaches, rolling headlands and uninterrupted Atlantic views.
Starting from Constantine Bay, the route follows the dramatic cliff path southwards towards Porthcothan, with wide open scenery and plenty of space to pause and take it all in. It’s a brilliant option if you want a proper coastal walk without committing to a full half-day hike.

- ⚠️ Cliff edges along much of the route - keep dogs on lead in exposed sections
- 🐑 Livestock may be present inland
- 🌊 Seasonal beach restrictions may apply
- 🥾 Uneven ground and some moderate climbs
This is ideal for confident dogs used to coastal paths. On calmer days, you’ll enjoy steady walking with big views and fresh sea air the whole way.
